v0.4.0– Game Hub & Legal Pages
2025-11-17 (20 days ago)
Added
- New Game page (/en/game) with a full overview of Shift at Midnight, including story summary, core features, PC requirements and official links (Itch.io, Steam, GitHub mirror).
- Dedicated Game Guide article: "Shift at Midnight Game Guide: Complete Walkthrough and Survival Tips for Beginners".
- Dedicated Download Guide article: "Shift at Midnight Download Guide: How to Install, Launch, and Update the Game".
- New Privacy Policy (/en/privacy) and Terms of Service (/en/terms) pages so the site no longer 404s from the footer and looks more trustworthy for players and ad networks.
Improved
- Updated all "Play / Start Playing" buttons to route through the Game page instead of linking directly to the ZIP file, so players can read what they are about to download first.
- Tweaked Open Graph and Twitter meta tags for the Game, Guide and Download pages to look better when shared on social media.
- Adjusted internal link structure so all game-related content is now grouped under a clear "Game Hub".
Fixed
- Fixed a bug where some links in the navigation still pointed to old placeholder URLs.
- Cleaned up a couple of typos in earlier article titles and descriptions.
v0.3.2– Doppelganger Detection Deep Dive
2025-11-15 (22 days ago)
Added
- New advanced article: "How to Identify Doppelgangers in Shift at Midnight: Advanced Detection Guide", focusing on:
- A 3-layer detection flow (papers / person / context)
- Concrete English question templates for players to use in-game
- Different doppelganger archetypes (hesitant, silent, over-confident, overly calm, defensive)
- Simple ASCII "diagrams" for positioning, sightlines and safe paths inside the station.
Improved
- Linked the new guide from the Game page and from related content cards so it's easier to find for new players.
- Reworked some headings and sub-headings to be closer to the tone of horror content creators instead of sounding like a dry wiki.
Fixed
- Fixed inconsistent capitalization of "Shift at Midnight" across several English articles.
- Corrected a couple of broken anchor links inside long-form guides.
v0.3.0– Content Pass for Beginners
2025-11-12 (25 days ago)
Added
- First version of the Beginner Content Pack:
- A long-form article explaining the core loop (interrogation → management → survival).
- A "first night" walkthrough to help new players avoid soft-locking themselves with bad decisions.
- A simple "Common Beginner Mistakes" list with practical examples.
Improved
- Updated article thumbnails and preview texts so readers immediately understand whether a post is about mechanics, downloads, or story.
- Slightly rebalanced heading sizes and spacing on article pages to improve readability on mobile.
Fixed
- Fixed a layout issue where long English titles would overlap the breadcrumb on smaller screens.
- Resolved a bug where some older posts didn't correctly respect the locale in their URLs.
v0.2.0– Localization & Structure
2025-11-08 (29 days ago)
Added
- Multi-language routing via [locale] so English and Chinese content can coexist cleanly under /en/... and /zh/....
- Initial Chinese translations for key pages: Home, Game intro, and several core articles.
Improved
- Restructured the content tree into data/md/en and data/md/zh to make it easier to add new posts without breaking anything.
- Refined the breadcrumb component to show localized labels for "Home", "Changelog", "Game", etc.
Fixed
- Fixed a bug where switching locale would sometimes drop users back to the homepage instead of the localized version of the current page.
v0.1.0– First Public Beta
2025-11-02 (about 1 month ago)
Added
- Initial public release of shiftatmidnight.com as a small fan-made hub for the game Shift at Midnight.
- Basic homepage with a short game description, a "Play" button and a few placeholder sections for future content.
- Basic Changelog page to keep track of what actually changes between versions.
Improved
- Early SEO pass: human-readable URLs, sensible page titles, and meta descriptions so search engines don't have to guess.
Known Issues
- Footer links to Privacy Policy and Terms were still pointing to placeholder routes.
- No proper game guide or download instructions yet — players mostly relied on external posts and store pages.
